A Mothers Answered Prayer

Mother, if you were here today

This is what I would like to say

Today I'm saved and understand

The seeds you planted with loving hands

Nothing in life is ever free

Except the love you gave to me

Showing Gods love in all you did

I remember this most as a kid

With love and grace you lived His way

His light was evident every day

It was the smile that I recall

In your eyes that showed to all

While you were alive upon this earth

I hope you knew how much you were worth

To a daughter that hardly showed her love

My selfishness I'm now aware of

And Mom, today it's not the same

Without you here to share my claim

That all your prayers were not in vain

When I confessed my sins in Jesus name

On Mothers Day I wanted to say

Thank you, for all you prayed

And even though you're not hear to see

The fruits of your labor some day we will be

Together in heaven!

I miss you Mom,
